Most of the Tibetans in India live in two towns of the Kangra District in Himachal Pradesh. What you see in the cover image, is the first view of the Dauladhar Mountains from the bridge at Hoshiarpur, on the border with Punjab.
Several years ago, my friend and I traveled to Kangra in the month of January. It is the best time of the year to visit because the sky is clean and there are no tourists spoiling the environment. After they were exiled from China, the Tibetans in India settled in various parts of the country. I assume they liked this area because of the serenity.
Sadly, it was a short trip. Our route to McLeod Ganj took us past Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur. On the way back, we drove via Chandigarh.
We visited the Norblulingka Gallery in Dharamsala, went to the Palampur Tea Estate, wandered the highways, and visited the Pong Dam.
I also have another digital publication. My trip to Bundelkhand.
